Wondering

Well, I've been wondering about the symptoms I'm having...my temperature has been running around 99.6, my chest has been tight (I think that this has been allergy/pollen related), and now joint pain today.  Oddly, I've had some pain in my left index finger, almost like it's sprained when I bend it.  It started hurting last night when I was doing cat litter, using that finger to hold the plastic bag...I don't know why my finger would get injured from that.  I also have a dry cough.  Fever, cough, and shortness of breath are the three symptoms that are the warning signs of COVID-19.  I hope that my symptoms are allergy related, but I really don't know for sure.  I felt lousy earlier today, feverish, and just off.  Tomorrow is a new day, and I hope that I feel better then.  They say that GA is having a record pollen count the past week, so who knows.  I started having allergies in the spring here last year.

Right now, no vaccine yet...they are working on getting plasma from recovered patients to give antibodies to people who are really struggling with the virus.  I read an article today that an LA doctor has had success with the use of hydroxycholoroquine with zinc.  He said that the drug opens the zinc channels to stop the virus replication.  The recommendation now is to use masks to help slow down the spread when shopping.  This should have been recommended from the start, but it wasn't because of  the mask shortage.  Trump made a deal with 3M today to produce over 50 million masks per month for the next couple of months.  Previously, 3M was selling these masks for cash, many of them going overseas.  So, a shortage has been severe here.

Other news:  Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the UK, was sent to the ICU today for the virus.  He had been sheltering at home, but his condition got worse.  He is the first world leader to be hospitalized for the virus.
